Colour & file types

We work with a fully colour managed workflow and can make your images ready for print output for you if needed. Otherwise, we will print your images as supplied in the files you send us.

Please ensure files are:

  • In PSD, TIFF or JPEG format, flattened to one layer

  • In Adobe RGB (1998) colour space

  • Sized to 360 ppi

  • In 8-bit (unless you require us to make image adjustments, then 16-bit is preferred)

  • Sized to the print size required including any border

For instance, if you are ordering a 20x16 inch print and you require at least a 1” white border, the actual image size should be a maximum of 18x14 inches. Please note: We advise a minimum border around the image on cut sheets of at least 15mm. Prints off roll can have any size border.

We will check all files before printing to ensure they suit this workflow. If there are problems we will contact you to discuss how you wish to proceed. For a small charge, we can adjust files to ensure maximum quality. (see Image Adjustments page)

Paper Profiles

Please note that we will apply the appropriate colour profiles depending on your paper choice.
